Please follow these instructions before your scheduled System Cleanup appointment time to send us a Windows Remote Assistance Invitation to take control of your computer.

1. Make sure you are connected directly to the internet. Do not use a router as this often interferes with attempts to connect with Remote Assistance. Refer to your router's instruction manual if you need assistance with this step.

2. Turn off any firewall software running on your system. The Remote Assistance Invitation will not work through a firewall.

3. Follow Microsoft's Step-by-Step Guide to Remote Assistance. A more current guide can be found here.

4. Make sure to use the E-mail option for sending the invitation and use RA-invitations@threesagesproductions.com as the address you send to. We do not use Windows Messenger for accepting Remote Assistance invitations.

5. Set the invitation to expire after 12 hours. That should be ample time to complete your System Cleanup in all but the worst cases. Once we have completed the job, you should delete and disable the invitation and RA session.

6. Use a password if you wish. It isn't necessary, but isn't a bad idea either. If you use one, make sure to send us the password you've chosen in a separate e-mail to RA-invitations@threesagesproductions.com.

7. Send the invitation and we will attempt to establish the Remote Assistance connection at your appointment time.

If for any reason our attempt to connect via Remote Assistance fails, we will reschedule your appointment for the earliest time possible and will attempt to establish other means by which we can work on your computer remotely. There are other software packages that can do the same thing as Remote Assistance, but we will do everything possible to make things work with Remote Assistance first before attempting other means to connect.

If, for any reason, after exhausting all possibilities to connect, we remain completely unable to establish any sort of connection to control your computer remotely, you will be given two options: (1) You can receive a full refund for your charged System Cleanup costs or (2) We can make every effort to walk you through the process of what needs to be done via telephone and e-mail communication. We have done many System Cleanups in the past without even seeing the computer screen of the system that was being disinfected merely by walking people through the process and having them e-mail us all their various scan results. Doing a System Cleanup this way will require much more effort on your part in working with us, but will also help you to learn various security techniques from a much more beneficial first-hand perspective, instead of just watching us work. But we would fully understand if you'd prefer a full refund if we fail to establish a Remote Assistance connection.

If you have any further questions about setting up this Remote Assistance connection, please e-mail us at info@threesagesproductions.com.
